Urban Freestyle: Tokyo Throwdown

Urban Freestyle: Tokyo Throwdown is an electrifying dance competition set in Tokyo, Japan. As the art director, I crafted style frames for the opening titles, merging the dynamic energy of modern dance with Japan's rich cultural heritage. These frames integrate green screen footage of dancers with bold, contemporary graphics and traditional Japanese elements, featuring vibrant colors and intricate patterns inspired by Japanese art.

Each team name and title treatment is presented uniquely, reflecting the diverse styles and personalities of the dancers. The result is a visually captivating introduction that sets the stage for an unforgettable showdown.

These style frames were created as an assignment for the School of Motion’s Design Bootcamp.
